YWCA CANTON, IL
At YWCA, we are eliminating racism and empowering women. We will get up and do the work until injustice is rooted out, until institutions are transformed, until the world sees women, girls, and people of color the way we do:
EQUAL. POWERFUL. UNSTOPPABLE.
Our Mission:
YWCA Canton is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace,
justice, freedom and dignity for all.
This YWCA mission statement was adopted by the General Assembly in 2009.
YWCA USA is one of the oldest and largest women's organizations in the nation, serving over 2 million women, girls, and their families. YWCA is on a mission to eliminate racism and empower women. We’ve been at the forefront of the biggest issues of the day for over 160 years, working to improve the lives of women and girls through advocacy, local programming and services.
THE YWCA CANTON IL was founded October 10, 1920. At the YWCA Canton Child Development Center, children are encouraged to learn as they play. Our educationally qualified staff will welcome your child and help them achieve their potential.
Regular outdoor time in our large, fenced play yard, which has a poured soft surface for the younger children, and local field trips to Canton's outstanding park district parks will enhance their day.
School Age care offered on "school's out" days and all day during the summer. YWCA Van transportation or staff supervised boarding of school district busses available.
"Little School" pre-school also available for children needing socialization skills without needing daily care. We are proud to offer many bachelors degreed staff members.
